Jitrade alleges Johnny Group used fabric design without authorization

LOS ANGELES – A Carson company is accused of unlawfully copying a fabric design.

Jitrade Inc. filed a complaint on May 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Made by Johnny Group Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its fabric design SND1502-1C copied without its consent. The plaintiff holds Made by Johnny Group Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold or manufactured garments made out of fabrics that bear plaintiff's designs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
