Alliance United Insurance Co. seeks more than $30,000 from motorist for collision damages

FRESNO – An insurance company is seeking damages after a collision near Griffith Way and West Avenue in Fresno.

Alliance United Insurance Co. filed a complaint on May 9 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Amanda MacDonald and Does 1-10 seeking subrogation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Nov. 8, 2015, defendants caused property damage and personal injury to plaintiff's insured, Ruperto Perez. Plaintiff alleges it has paid its insured the sum of $30,330.08 and that it is entitled to recover the said amount from defendants together with interest. The plaintiff holds MacDonald and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently caused their vehicle to collide with plaintiff's insured vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in the amount of $30,330.08, plus interest, costs of suit and such other just and proper relief. It is represented by Todd F. Haines, Shan H. Yamamoto and Brian Tapper of Law Offices of Todd F. Haines in Agoura Hills.
