LOS ANGELES – A Vernon corporation alleges a Florida corporation unlawfully used one of its textile designs on fabrics.
Ghodooshim & Son Inc. filed a complaint on May 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Venus Fashion Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its Transition Fall 2015 Collection 1 textile design copied without its authority. The plaintiff holds Venus Fashion Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments made out of fabric that bear plaintiff's design.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong, Amy Choe and John R. Baldivia of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
