SAN FRANCISCO – A Denver woman formerly employed by Yelp as a call center sales agent alleges the company violated labor laws.

Jennie Poye filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on June 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Yelp Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant from February 2015 to March 2017. The plaintiff holds Yelp, Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay employees for all hours worked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, penalties, liquidated damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Jahan C. Sagafi of Outten & Golden LLP in San Francisco.
