SAN FRANCISCO – A Taiwan company alleges Fremont company Bridgelux has infringed a patent regarding light-emitted diode lighting.

Everlight Electronics Co. LTD filed a complaint on June 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Bridgelux Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its patent No. '548, or Semiconductor Radiation Emitter Package, infringed. The plaintiff holds Bridgelux Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly sells LED products that infringes plaintiff's patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant, damages, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Russell C. Petersen and Holly V. Rhea of Hanson Bridgett LLP in San Francisco.
