Crossinstall alleges CrossChannel unlawfully used ad codes

SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco corporation alleges that a San Mateo corporation misappropriated some of its codes for mobile phone advertisements.

Crossinstall Inc. filed a complaint on June 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against CrossChannel Inc. and Does 1 through 50 alleging copyright infringement and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is a developer of playable mobile phone game advertisements. The plaintiff holds CrossChannel Inc. and Does 1 through 50 responsible because the defendants allegedly copied certain software codes of the plaintiff to exploit its reputation and unfairly compete with the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks injunctive relief, statutory damages, restitution and disgorgement, general and special damages, exemplary/ punitive damages and any other relief as the court deems just.
