LOS ANGELES – A temporary staffing services company alleges an operator of logistics and warehouses failed to pay for services it provided.
Chartwell Staffing Services Inc. filed a complaint on June 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Serec Inc., Serec of California, Serec of California Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the defendants contracted the plaintiff in January 2016 to provide temporary staff to the defendants' location in the city of Industry. The plaintiff holds Serec Inc., Serec of California, Serec of California Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay all the invoices sent by the plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages of $131,698, service charge of $7,862, interest of $131,698 at the rate of 10 percent per annum, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Alexander L. Conti of Conti Law in Newport Beach.
