Netlist Inc. alleges SK hynix Inc. infringed patents

Patents 05

SANTA ANA – An Irvine company that manufactures products for the cloud computing markets alleges that its patents are unlawfully being used.

Netlist Inc. filed a complaint on June 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Southern Division against SK hynix Inc., SK hynix America Inc. and SK hynic memory solutions Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that they contacted defendant in June 2016 regarding the defendants' need for a license to Netlist's patent portfolio under reasonable terms and conditions. The suit states the defendant did not accept the plaintiff's offer.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly refused to attribute any meaning value to plaintiff's fundamental patent portfolio and launched extensive collateral attacks on plaintiff's and its intellectual property.

The plaintiff seeks to compensate for all damages, grant pre- and post-judgment interest, attorneys' fees, grant permanent injunction to using any asserted patents, and such other relief as the court may deem just and proper. It is represented by Nada I. Shamonki of Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo PC in Los Angeles.
