Copyright 12

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles corporation alleges that Lularoe unlawfully used its designs.

Universal Dyeing & Printing Inc. filed a complaint on June 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Lularoe LLC and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its UA 15554 and UA 17219 designs copied without its consent. The plaintiff holds Lularoe LLC and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments made out of fabrics that bear plaintiff's fabric designs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott A. Burroughs and Frank Gregory Casella of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
