LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles meat and meat product wholesale company is accused of failing to pay for products it ordered.
Pini USA Inc. and Pini Polska SP. Z.O.O. filed a complaint on June 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against NB Global Commodities LLC alleging that the California company failed to pay the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, in 2016, the parties negotiated for the defendant to order pork products from the plaintiffs. The suit states the defendant issued 15 purchase orders and that it failed to pay the plaintiffs the full contract price for the products.
The plaintiffs seek compensatory, incidental, and consequential damages no less than $1,472,279.01, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Neil S. Lerner and Alexander T. Gruft of Cox Wootton Lerner Griggin & Hansen, LLP in Los Angeles.
