LOS ANGELES — The U.S, government is suing a Ventura County woman, alleging breach of contract and an unpaid debt of more than $130,000.
The United States of America filed a complaint July 10 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Vanessa E. Hattoum, alleging she had failed to settle her debt to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the U.S. suffered financial damages due to unpaid debt. The plaintiff alleges Hattoum responsible has failed to pay the principal amount of her debt plus interest.
The U.S. government seeks seeks the principal amount of $74,620.05, plus interest of $58,646.60 with further interest at 8.25 percent per annum accruing at $16.85 per day, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just.
