Farm business accuses rental company of contract breach

FRESNO — A Fresno County farm business is suing a rental company, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

Antonio Campos Farms, Inc. filed a complaint Feb. 14 in Fresno County Superior Court against Kjar Rental Company, Stanley James Kjar and Does 1 through 20, alleging they failed to settle their debt of more than $350,000 to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Antonio Campos Farms financial damages because the defendants failed to honor their promissory note to make payments to the debt they owed the plaintiff.

Antonio Campos Farms seeks compensatory damages of $354,786.92 ,plus interest at the rate of 8 percent per annum, late charges in the amount of $7,575, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Kirin K. Virk of Damrell, Nelson, Schrimp, Pallios, Pacher & Silva in Modesto.
