Employee accuses Fresno County business of discrimination

FRESNO — An employee is suing a Fresno County business, alleging discrimination and wrongful termination.

John Salazar filed a complaint Feb. 17 in Fresno County Superior Court against Cargill beef Solutions Company aka Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation and Does 1-100, alleging they terminated his employment for supporting a co-worker regarding her gender discrimination claim.

According to the complaint, Salazar suffered monetary damages from being terminated from employment on . The plaintiff holds Cargill beef Solutions Company aka Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly retaliated against the plaintiff by terminating his employment when he testified against them.

The plaintiff seeks special damages, general damages, interest, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Larry H. Shapazian of Tomassian, Pimental & Shapazian in Fresno.
