LOS ANGELES — Eighteen employees are suing DIRECTV, alleging  unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Julienne Mertens, Michael Henderson, Casey Maltos, Robert Davis, Cole Snider, Terry Teague, Martin Gomez, John Milleman, William Urich, Paul Valencia, Chris Stanfill, Zackery Lange, Dale Martinez, Kelvin Forster, Jonathan Spencer, Randel Phillips, Vincent Torrie and Doug Bridgeforth filed a complaint July 28 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against DIRECTV LLC, alleging failure to pay fair and accurate wages to the plaintiffs.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs suffered monetary damages from not being paid for all hours worked during their employment. The plaintiffs allege DIRECTV failed to keep accurate time records of their employees, including the plaintiffs, for their work, resulting in them not paying all wages earned in violation of Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiffs seek all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees, and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys J. Toji Calabro and George A. Hanson of Stueve Siegel & Hanson LLP in Kansas City, Missouri, and by Bradford B. Leara and Todd C. Werts of Lear Werts LLP in Columbia, Missouri.
