SAN FRANCISCO — An employee has filed a class action lawsuit against Google Inc., and Does 1 through 500, alleging unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law, violation of state law and violation of workers compensation acts.

Theresa Martinez filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, April 21 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Google, Inc., and Does 1 through 500, alleging they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Martinez suffered damages from not being paid minimum wages prior to being terminated with fewer than 20 days' notice in September 2016. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay overtime wages to the plaintiff for working more than 40 hours per week, including not providing adequate rest and meal breaks.

Martinez seeks trial by jury, damages, all unpaid regular wages, unpaid minimum wages, liquidated damages, unpaid overtime wages, restitution, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Ronald A. Marron and William B. Richards, Jr. of Law Offices of Ronald A. Marron APLC in San Diego and by Michael Singer J. Jason Hill of Cohelan Khoury & Singer in San Diego.
