LOS ANGELES — Two composers are suing a California competitor, alleging copyright infringement.
Thomas Chase Jones, and Frank Herrlinger filed a complaint Aug. 28 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Lilith Murphy, alleging she infringed upon their copyrights for her musical compositions.
According to the complaint, Jones and Herrlinger suffered damages from being accused by Murphy of copyright infringement. The plaintiffs allege Murphy threatened the plaintiffs with a litigation for using a musical composition in teaching.
Jones and Herrlinger seek trial by jury, declaration the plaintiffs did not infringe on any copyrights, legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Allen Hyman of Law Offices of Allen Hyman in North Hollywood, California.
