California software corporation accuses Connecticut competitor of copyright infringement

LOS ANGELES — A Long Beach software business is suing a Connecticut competitor, alleging copyright infringement.

Mieco Inc., filed a complaint Sept. 6 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Triple Point Technology Inc. of Westport, Connecticut, alleging the defendant wrongfully accuses the plaintiff of violating its software copyright.

According to the complaint, Mieco suffered damages from being accused of copyright infringement. The plaintiff alleges Triple Point Technology wrongfully accuses Mieco of copyright infringement through its use of the licensed software.

Mieco seeks trial by jury, declare the plaintiff has not infringed on the plaintiff's copyright, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Joseph A. Meckes and Emily L. Wallerstein of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP in San Francisco.
