SACRAMENTO — The U.S. government is suing California and Maryland companies, alleging breach of contract and an unpaid debt of $280,000.

The United States of America, for the use and benefit of Walters Wholesale Electric Co., filed a complaint Sept. 21 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Federal Solutions Group, also known as Federal Solutions Group Inc., Selina Singh, and Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland, alleging they failed to pay the plaintiff for services and materials used.

According to the complaint, in 2017, Walters Wholesale Electric suffered damages from not being paid for the electrical materials it had furnished to a project in San Joaquin, California. The plaintiff alleges the defendants breached their contractual agreement when they failed to pay Walters for the materials and services used in the project.

The U.S. government seeks $280,896.25, interest at the legal annual rate, legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorneys Steven A. Jones and Cole F. Morgan of Madden, Jones, Cole & Johnson in Seal Beach, California.
