FRESNO — A motorist is suing a vehicle owner and driver, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Pilar Barragan filed a complaint Aug. 30 in Fresno County Superior Court against Salvador Guadalupe Osuna and Maria Osuna, alleging they negligently operated and maintained their vehicle so as to cause a crash.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 15, 2015, Barragan was driving westbound on Butler Avenue when she made a left turn onto 10th Street and was broadsided by a vehicle driven by Salvador Osuna.
Barragan says she could not reasonably have avoided the collision, which led to physical injuries, pain and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges the Osunas failed to follow a traffic signal and failed to yield the right-of-way to the vehicles in the approaching intersection pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section.
Barragan seeks trial by jury, judgment of more than $25,000 for compensatory damages, costs of suit, and all other relief thatis fair, just and equitable. She is represented by attorney Jeffrey D. Bohm of Accident, Injury and Medical Malpractice Attorneys of California, APC in Fresno.
