Driver, passenger blame another motorist for crash

FRESNO — A vehicle driver and passenger are suing another motorist, alleging negligence led to a crash that injured the plaintiffs.

Elvia Antonio Poyg and Angela Lopez filed a complaint Aug. 31 in Fresno County Superior Court against Hermelindo Cuatenango Moras, Aaron Charles Jones and Stuart Lynn Jones, alleging the defendants negligently operated and maintained their vehicle so as to cause injuries to another motorist.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, 2015, while traveling through the intersection of Conejo Avenue and West Avenue in Fresno, the plaintiffs' vehicle, being driven by Poyg, was struck by Aaron Charles Jones' vehicle that was being driven by Moras. . 

As a result of the crash, Poyg and Lopez sustained physical injuries, property damages and incurred medical expenses. 

The plaintiffs allege the defendants negligently permitted, entrusted, maintained, managed, controlled and operated their vehicle so as to cause a collision that resulted in injuries and damages.

Poyg and Lopez seek trial by jury, more than $25,000 for compensatory damages, costs of suit and all such relief as is fair, just and equitable. They are represented by attorney Ron Torem of Torem & Associates in Beverly Hills.
