LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles County corporation is suing a former employee, alleging misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, conversion, computer fraud and unfair competition.

Webullient Inc. filed a complaint Oct. 4 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Gregory Strickler, alleging he breached his duty of good faith and fair dealing-.

According to the complaint, Webullient suffered damages to its business, reputation and profit as a result of Strickler's malicious conduct through misappropriation of the plaintiff’s proprietary software, information and trade secrets by improper means. The suit says Strickler had worked for Webullient as chief technology officer.

The plaintiff alleges Strickler failed to maintain the secrecy of Webullient's confidential and trade secret information, and forced the plaintiff to hire specialized technical support to fix the issues the defendant maliciously created.

Webullient seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages of at least $1 million, exemplary and punitive damages, a temporary restraining order, interest, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorneys Erik Syverson and Steven T. Gebelin of Raines Feldman LLP in Los Angeles.
