Motorist blames another driver for collision

Car accident 07

FRESNO — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging the defendant's negligence caused a collision.

Nicholas Coleman filed a complaint Sept. 26 in Fresno County Superior Court against Marcello Romero and Sabina Dellapuerta, alleging Romero failed his duty to exercise reasonable care in the operation of his motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, Oct. 7, 2015, Coleman was driving northbound on Interstate Highway 5 when his vehicle was struck in the rear by Romero's care.

The suit says Coleman suffered physical injuries, property damage and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Marcello Romero, who was driving a a car owned by Dellapuerta, failed to keep proper lookout for other vehicles, failed to yield-right-of-way and failed to sound a warning to incoming traffic.

Coleman seeks trial by jury, more than $25,000 for compensatory damages, costs of suit and all other fair, just and equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Joel D. Winter of The Winter Law Group in Fresno.
