Driver accuses another motorist of causing causing multiple collision

Car accident 06

FRESNO — A motorist is suing another driver and his employer, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Ripsime Knnablian filed a complaint Oct. 11 in Fresno County Superior Court against Daniel Borchardt and American Inc., alleging they failed to exercise due care in maintaining and operating their vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 21, 2015, Knnablian was driving westbound on Dakota Avenue approaching the intersection with Cedar Avenue in Fresno when her vehicle was struck from behind by Borchardt's vehicle while he was working for American. Knnablian says her vehicle was pushed forward and collided with the vehicle directly in front of her.

As a result, the suit says, Knnablian suffered physical injuries, property damages and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Borchardt drove at a high rate of speed, failed to keep a careful lookout while entering an intersection and failed to sound a warning or horn to alert incoming vehicles.

Knnablian seeks trial by jury judgment of more than $25,000 for compensatory damages, costs of suit and all other relief deemed fair, just and equitable. She is represented by attorney Timothy W. Mazzela of Law Office of Timothy W. Mazzela in Fresno.
