Motorist alleges another driver caused crash, injuries

Car accident 05

FRESNO — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Manuel Orosco filed a complaint Oct. 16 in Fresno County Superior Court against Samantha Jimenez and Does 1-10, alleging they failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on June 29, 2016, Orosco was driving northbound on Goldenstate intending to turn west on Santa Ana in Fresno. The suit says Jimenez recklessly made a U-turn to get out of the traffic jam caused by a passing train and collided with Orosco's vehicle. As a result of the accident, Orosco says he suffered injuries, wage loss, loss of use of property, and he incurred hospital and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay attention to traffic and keep a proper lookout for other vehicles.

Orosco seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages of at least $25,000, costs of suit and all other fair and just relief. He is represented by attorney Nathan S. Miller of Miller & Ayala LLP in Fresno.
