Family accuses motorist of causing crash

Car accident 41

FRESNO — A vehicle driver and passengers are suing another motorist, alleging the defendant's negligent driving caused injuries.

Danielle Rowland and Josiah Rowland, by and through his guardian ad litem, Jeff Rowland filed a complaint Nov. 16 in Fresno County Superior Court against George Nan, alleging the defendant carelessly operated his vehicle, causing a collision and injuries to others.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 24, 2015, the Rowlands were traveling northbound on First Street at the intersection with Escalon Avenue in Freesno. The suit says their vehicle was struck by Nan's vehicle.

As a result, plaintiffs say they suffered physical injuries, loss of the use of property and incurred medical expenses. The plaintiffs allege Nan failed to keep a careful lookout, failed to yield right of way and failed to sound horn to incoming vehicles.

The Rowlands seek trial by jury, compensatory damages in excess of $25,000, costs of suit and all such fair, just and equitable relief. They are represented by attorney Mark E. Chielpegian of Chielpegian Cobb in Fresno.
