FRESNO — A Fresno County couple is suing a roofing business, alleging breach of contract and negligence.

Nick and Leah Jerkovich filed a complaint Nov. 17 in Fresno County Superior Court against Brian Hobbs Roofing Inc., Brian Hobbs and Does 1-15, alleging they breached good faith and fair dealing by not properly completing a roofing job.

According to the complaint, on April 28, 2015, Nick and Leah Jerkovich entered into a contract with the defendants for an installation of a new roof at their property 4309 Siskiyou Ave. in Kerman for $58,863. The suit says the Jerkoviches suffered monetary damages because the defendant failed to install matching tiles or repair the problem, making the roof an eyesore.

The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to fulfill their obligations under the agreement, and failed to adequately finish the roofing project in a timely manner.

Nick and Leah Jerkovich seek trial by jury, monetary damages, interest, costs of suit, and all further relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Kurt F. Vote and Steven K. Vote of Wanger Jones Helsley PC in Fresno.
