Driver, passengers blame motorist for crash, injuries

Car accident 16

FRESNO — A driver and passengers are suing another motorist, alleging his negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiffs.

Miriam Liset Masias, Jose Raymundo Rosales-Bernal et al. filed a complaint Nov. 28 in Fresno County Superior Court against Santos Robledo Manzo and Does 1-20, alleging they failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on April 30, 2016, Masias was driving a vehicle with the other plaintiffs as passengers on Kearney Street in Fresno County. The suit says a car driven by Manzo suddenly collided into the right rear-portion of the plaintiffs' vehicle.

As a result of defendant's negligence, the plaintiffs say they were injured in their health, strength and activity, sustaining injury to their bodies and shock to their nervous systems, were caused mental, physical, and nervous pain and suffering, and incurred medical expenses. The lawsuit states Masias lost the companionship, comfort, care and assistance of Rosales-Bernal, her husband,

The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm, and failed to be on a proper lookout for other vehicles.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, compensatory damages, costs of suit and all other fair and just relief. They are represented by attorney Jeffrey D. Bohn of Accident, Injury and Medical Malpractice Attorneys of California APC in Fresno.
