Car accident 41

FRESNO — A motorist is suing other drivers, alleging their negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff..

Lynnette Marie Sheets filed a complaint Nov. 29 in Fresno County Superior Court against Joselin Felisitas Negrete, Jose Torres Negrete, Bikramjeet Singh, Jaswant Kaur and Does 1-20, alleging they failed to follow applicable safety guidelines and regulations.

According to the complaint, on June 20, 2016, Sheets was operating a motor vehicle on state Route 99 in Fresno County when she came to a complete stop due to a red traffic light. The suit says vehicles driven by Negrete and by Singh, failed to stop in response to the red traffic signal light and, subsequently, collided into Sheets' car.

As a result of the crash, Sheets says she sustained injuries to her body and shock to her nervous system, sustained great mental, physical, and nervous pain and suffering, and incurred medical and incidental expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants wrongfully entrusted, managed, maintained, drove and/or operated the vehicles negligently so as to caused the accident that injured Sheets.

Sheets seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages of more than $25,000, costs of suit, and all other fair and just relief. She is represented by attorney Jeffrey D. Bohn of Accident, Injury and Medical Malpractice Attorneys of California APC in Fresno.
