Motorist alleges another driver caused crash

Car accident 40

FRESNO — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence.

Janet Sterns-Sirman filed a complaint Dec. 5 in Fresno County Superior Court against Judy Takano and Does 1-15, alleging Takano failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle and caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 7, 2015, Sterns-Sirman was driving in Fresno when her car was run into by a 1999 Toyota owned and driven by Takano. The suit says Sterns-Sirman suffered injuries and damages, including wage losses, loss of use of property, plus hospital and medical expenses, as a result of Takano's negligence.

The plaintiff alleges Takano failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm.

Sterns-Sirman seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $25,000, costs of suit and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Roger S. Bonakdar of Bonakdar Law Firm in Fresno.
