Home health care company alleges breach of contract

Contract 08

FRESNO — A home health care company is suing a Fresno man, alleging breach of contract.

Sona Healthcare LLC, doing business as Visiting Angels of Fresno, filed a complaint Dec. 6 in Fresno County Superior Court against Nichole Salas and Does 1-20, alleging the defendant owes nearly $16,000.

According to the complaint, on May 11, 2017, Visiting Angels of Fresno entered into agreement where the plaintiff would proved in-home health care for Salas' father. The suit says Visiting Angels suffered economic injury because the defendant has failed to fully provide $15,983.25 in compensation.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants have breached their obligations under the agreement by failing to compensate Visiting Angels plaintiff for services rendered and forced the plaintiff to retain legal counsel to protect its interests.

Visiting Angels of Fresno seeks trial by jury, damages of $15,983.25, plus interest, costs of suit and all further relief the court deems necessary. It is represented by attorney Elizabeth H. Murphy of Jackson Lewis PC in Los Angeles.
