Motorist alleges another driver caused crash

Car accident 18

FRESNO — A motorist is suing another driving, alleging vehicular negligence.

Edith Maldonado filed a complaint Dec. 13 in Fresno County Superior Court against Jaime Lopez and Does 1-10, alleging failure to exercise standard care and skill in the operation of a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 29, 2015, Maldanado was driving eastbound on Manning Avenue in Fresno County. The suit says a vehicle operated by Lopez, and with the consent of co-defendants, failed to yield at a stop sign, causing a collision with the plaintiff's vehicle.

As a result of the defendants' negligence, Maldonado suffered bodily injuries, loss of income and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants entrusted, managed, maintained, drove, operated, repaired, manufactured and designed their vehicle that caused the collision which resulted in damages to the plaintiff.

Maldonado seeks trial by jury, all medical and incidental expenses for loss of earnings, interest, costs of suit and all further relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Anh Phoong of Phoong Law Corporation in Sacramento.
