LOS ANGELES — A photographer is suing a mortgage company, alleging copyright infringement.

Lisa Corson filed a complaint Jan. 10 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Eagle Home Mortgage LLC and Does 1-10, alleging they distributed an intellectual property without authority from owner.

According to the complaint, Corson has suffered irreparable injury from the wrongful conduct of the defendants in the reproduction, distribution and public display of 12 copyrighted photographs owned by plaintiff, without her permission, license or consent.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants caused confusion among consumers as to the true origin and affiliation of the infringing product, and obtained profit at the expense of the plaintiff.

Croson seeks trial by jury, statutory and actual damages of up to $1.8 million, court costs, interest, attorney fees, accounting for all profits, income, receipts or other benefit derived from infringement, and all further relief the court deems deem just. She is represented by attorneys Peter R. Afrasiabi and John Tehranian of One LLP in Newport Beach, and by Joanna Ardalan of One LLP in Beverly Hills.
