Galt business alleged to have defaulted on loan with First Home Bank

Late 04

SACRAMENTO – A Florida banking corporation alleges an individual and business in Galt defaulted on a loan.

First Home Bank filed a complaint on Feb. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Brian Woods, doing business as Woods Plumbing, and Brian Scott Woods alleging breach of contract, unjust enrichment and promissory/equitable estoppel.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 30, 2016, Woods Plumbing executed a promissory note of $295,000 with the plaintiff.

The plaintiff holds Brian Woods, doing business as Woods Plumbing, and Brian Scott Woods responsible because the defendants allegedly defaulted on the loan. The plaintiff alleges as of Jan. 16, $284,656.82 is owed on the loan's principal.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants, attorneys’ fees and costs, interest, and other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Joshua N. Kastan of DKM Law Group LLP in San Francisco.
