Fresno smoke shop operator alleged to have sold counterfeit RooR products

Trademark 02

FRESNO – A Fresno smoke shop is alleged to have sold counterfeit RooR products.

Sream Inc. filed a complaint on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Hussain Mohamed Alfarh and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement, counterfeiting and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff does business as RooR USA and is the exclusive licensee of the RooR marks in the country. It alleges that the defendants are selling counterfeit RooR products at their Smokers Paradise & More Wireless location in Fresno.

The plaintiff holds Hussain Mohamed Alfarh and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants' actions allegedly have confused and deceived consumers concerning the source and sponsorship of the counterfeit goods.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, profits and statutory damages of up to $2 million per defendants, attorney’s fees, costs of suit, restitution and any further relief as the court may deem just. It is represented by Imran F. Vakil and Steven Baker of Nexio PC in Costa Mesa.
