SANTA ANA – A business owner alleges two former employees misappropriated trade secrets.

Jerome Reyes filed a complaint on March 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Southern Division against Joshua Dodson and Jared Dodson alleging breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in October 2007, he founded 4 Brothers Construction, doing business as Roofers411.com. He alleges he hired the defendants and taught them how to use the technology he had developed and both signed a nondisclosure agreement.

He alleges Joshua Dodson left the company in March 2013 and the defendants started Roof Top Measurement service.

The plaintiff holds Joshua Dodson and Jared Dodson responsible because the defendants allegedly breached the agreement and misappropriated the plaintiff's trade secrets.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $400,000, injunction against the defendants, and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by David R. Shaub in Malibu.
