SAN DIEGO – A California consumer alleges his privacy was invaded by calls from a Florida company.
Christopher Melingonis, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on March 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Millennial Solutions LLC, doing business as Global Business Lending; Zachary A. Knowles; and Tiffani J. Knowles alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 18, 2017, he received a telephone call on his cellular telephone from Millennial Solutions "informing him that he could get business capital if he applied and was approved." He alleges Millennial Solutions used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact him.
The plaintiff holds Millennial Solutions LLC, doing business as Global Business Lending; Zachary A. Knowles; and Tiffani J. Knowles responsible because the defendants allegedly made numerous calls without prior express consent and had no established business relationship him.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, injunctive relief prohibiting such conduct in the future, any other relief the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Joshua B. Swigart and Yana A. Hart of Hyde & Swigart APC in San Diego.
