SAN FRANCISCO – An individual alleges he was wrongfully evicted from his San Francisco apartment.

David Lopez filed a complaint on March 21 in the Superior Court of California - County of San Francisco against The John Stewart Co. and Does 1-25 alleging breach of the covenant of quiet enjoyment, negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff rented an apartment on Gateview Avenue in San Francisco and John Stewart Co. was his landlord. He alleges that on Jan. 31, he was rendered homeless when the locks to the premises were changed. The plaintiff alleges no legal action of any kind is pending and no order of any court authorized the eviction.

The plaintiff holds The John Stewart Co. responsible because defendant allegedly wrongfully evicted him.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for interest on all sums awarded, cost of suit, general damages, special damages, and such further relief that the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Daniel Berko in San Francisco.
