Florida couple alleged to owe nearly $50,000 on loan

SAN FRANCISCO – A Florida couple is alleged to have defaulted on a loan.

Hyon Jin Sim filed a complaint on April 9 in the Superior Court of California - County of San Francisco against Mike and Melessa Handy alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 15, 2015, he entered into a contract agreement in which defendants promised to repay a loan of $50,000 by Dec. 31, 2017. The plaintiff alleges the defendants have only paid $1,000.

The plaintiff holds Mike and Melessa Handy responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to perform under the contract by repaying the note and interest due.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for damages amount to $70,000 plus other relief according to proof. The plaintiff is represented by Jessica Stuart Pliner of Archer Norris in Walnut Creek.
