Law money 06

SAN FRANCISCO – Former tenants of a 15th Avenue, San Francisco property allege they resided in illegal units and were "forced" to live in dilapidated conditions.

Trevor L. Ross, Sachin More and Lorenzo Reyna filed a complaint on April 20 in the Superior Court of California - County of San Francisco against Daniel Wong, Vanessa Wong and Does 1 through 10 alleging negligence, nuisance and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they currently or formerly occupied defendants' property in three of the four illegal in-law units in the basement of the home. They allege the units lacked proper code-compliant heat, had bedbug issues and other problems.

The plaintiffs holds Daniel Wong, Vanessa Wong and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly "forced" their tenants to live in dilapidated conditions despite having the financial ability to remedy the repair issues.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for general and special damages, statutory penalties, injunctive relief, and for such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. They are represented by Trevor L. Ross, Paul A. Mann and Ted J. Hannig of Hannig Law LLP in San Carlos.
