LOS ANGELES – A Newark company is alleged to have unlawfully used a copyrighted textile design in fabric or garments.

C&SM Int'l. filed a complaint on April 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Jollychic Inc., Haiyan Li and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it owns a copyrighted two-dimensional artwork for use on textiles tagged as "Kay-25."

The plaintiff holds Jollychic Inc., Li and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly purchased, sold and/or distributed fabric and/or garments using the plaintiff's design without authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, injunction, costs, attorneys’ fees and further relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Regina S. Zernay of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
