Motorcycle rider seeks damages from Turo, individual over collision near Half Moon Bay city limits

Car accident 12

SAN FRANCISCO – A motorcycle rider is seeking damages over alleged injuries he sustained when he was struck in San Mateo County.

Geoffrey Eldridge filed a complaint on May 15 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Turo Inc. and Tomas Volejnicek and Does 1-25 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 9, 2016, he was driving his 2013 Triumph Thruxton motorcycle when he was struck by defendants' 2010 Toyota Corolla 345 feet east of the Half Moon Bay city limits.

As a result, Eldridge claims he sustained physical injuries, lost use of property, disability and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Turo Inc. and Volejnicek, and Does 1-25 responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently owned, operated, entrusted, managed, maintained, repaired, directed or supervised the vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages according to proof. He is represented by George V. Choulos of Choulos, Choulos & Wyle LLP in San Francisco.
