SAN FRANCISCO – Former tenants of a San Francisco property allege the property owners failed to keep the unit in a habitable condition.
Freddy Morataya and Marly Orozco filed a complaint on May 15 in the Superior Court of the State of California against Brenda Paz, Chen Han Yao and Does 1 through 50 alleging breach of contract, negligence and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in 2017, they entered into written lease agreement with defendants for a property on Hollister in San Francisco. They allege the property has exposed wires, mold, a cockroach infestation, unfinished electrical work and gasses from a raw sewage leak are present.
The plaintiffs hold Paz, Yao and Does 1 through 50 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain the unit in a habitable condition.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for general and special damages, statutory damages, attorney's fees, punitive damages and for any all other relief that the court deems proper and just.
