Driver seeks damages from motorist over Clinton Avenue, Fresno collision

FRESNO – A woman is alleged to have caused a collision in Fresno when attempting to turn into a shopping center.

Sokchantha Pen filed a complaint on May 22 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Debra Martinez and Peter Martinez alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 8, 2017, he was traveling southbound on Clinton Avenue in Fresno when his vehicle was struck by defendant Debra Martinez. 

The collision was allegedly due to Debra Martinez making a lane change as she was traveling southbound on Chestnut Avenue in an attempt to make a right-hand turn into a shopping center/gas station from the far left lane. 

As a result, Pen claims he sustained severe injuries, lost use of property and incurred medical expenses. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages according to proof. He is represented by Timothy W. Mazzela of Law Office of Timothy W. Mazzela in Fresno.
