Security National Insurance seeks subrogration from driver over Fresno collision

FRESNO – An insurance company is seeking recovery of the money it paid on a claim as a result of an accident in Fresno.

Security National Insurance Co. filed a complaint on May 18 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Santos Agustin Negrete and Does 1 through 10 citing automobile subrogation.

According to the complaint, Negrete was involved in a collision with the plaintiff's insured Oct. 17, 2016, at the intersection of state Route 99 and state Route 180 in Fresno. It alleges as a result, it paid damages to its insured and is seeking subrogation for the amount it paid.

The plaintiff seeks payment for damages in the sum of $59,453 together with interest thereon at the rate of 10 percent per annum, costs of suit, and for such other further relief as the court deems just and proper. It is represented by Todd F. Haines, Shan F. Yamamoto and Brian P. Tapper of Law Offices of Todd F. Haines in Agoura Hills.
