FRESNO – A driver alleges she collided head-on with a city-owned vehicle because the city failed to adequately display warning devices around it.

Floro Orosco filed a complaint on May 21 in the Fresno County Superior Court against the city of Sanger and Does 1-10 alleging violation of California government code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 2, 2017, she was driving eastbound on Almond Avenue when she collided head-on with a Sanger Truck that was stopped in her lane of travel as a work crew of the defendant was repairing a sewer line.

The plaintiff holds the city of Sanger and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately display warning devices on and around the Sanger truck, including but not limited to proper flashing warning lights, flares, or a reflector on the street in and around the Sanger truck.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for general damages, medical and incidental expenses, costs of suit, and such other and further relief as the court may deem proper. She is represented by Jason A. Helsel of Fowler Helsel Vogt in Fresno.
