Woman alleges driver was intoxicated in Selma crash

FRESNO – A woman is seeking damages after an allegedly intoxicated driver collided with her vehicle in Selma.

Gabriela Romero filed a complaint on May 22 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Ruben Zamora-Lopez, also known as Ruben Zamora, alleging personal injury, negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 21, 2017, the defendant collided with her vehicle at the intersection of Whitson and Park in Selma. The suit states the defendant willfully consumed alcoholic beverages to the point of intoxication, which contributed to the accident.

The plaintiff holds Zamora-Lopez and Does 1-30 responsible because Zamora-Lopez allegedly drove a motor vehicle after consumption of alcohol to the point of intoxication in conscious disregard for the rights and safety of other drivers.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for compensatory according to proof. She is represented by Jesse R. Fretwell of Law Office of Darryl B. Freedman Inc. in Fresno.
