FRESNO – A Fresno resident is alleged to have defaulted on an auto loan.
United Local Credit Union filed a complaint on May 25 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Brady Lynn Steward and Does 1 to 10 alleging breach of written contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 21, 2016, Steward purchased a used 2013 Chevrolet Camaro automobile and the auto seller assigned its rights under the retail installment sale contract to the plaintiff the same day.
The plaintiff holds Steward and Does 1 through 10 responsible because Steward allegedly failed to pay monthly installments due and owing despite demand, failed and refused to return the property and continues to withhold possession in violation of plaintiff's right to the immediate and exclusive possession of the vehicle.
The plaintiff seeks payment for the principal sum of $25,335.44, plus attorney's fees, costs of suit incurred, and such other further relief as the court may deem just and proper. It is represented by Russell W. Reynolds of Coleman & Horowitt LLP in Fresno.
