FRESNO – A Fresno County woman alleges that she has been injured by false and defamatory statements accusing her of burglarizing a residence.

Anne Xiong filed a complaint on June 14 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Xang Xiong, Pa Yang and Does 1-25 alleging defamation, slander and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 22, 2017, the defendants' home was burglarized. She alleges the defendants falsely accused her of breaking into their home and made these accusations to her mother and siblings. She alleges the defendants had a fraudulent law enforcement report that contained defamatory statements regarding the plaintiff.

The plaintiff holds Xang Xiong, Pa Yang and Does 1-25 responsible because the plaintiff has allegedly suffered embarrassment, shame, ridicule and disgrace because of the defendants' statements and allegedly fraudulent report.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for special, general, economic, incidental, compensatory, consequential and punitive damages; cost of suit; and further relief as the court may deem just. She is represented by Jamie K. Xiong-Vang of McCormick, Barstow, Sheppard, Wayte & Carruth LLP in Fresno.
