FRESNO – A Fresno man alleges an individual failed to repay a loan.

Bernie Slenders filed a complaint on June 18 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Jose Valencia alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Slenders alleges that on Aug. 16, 2017, the parties executed promissory note wherein Slenders lent defendant $25,000 that was agreed to be paid on the first of every month starting Oct. 1, 2017, until April 1, 2019.

The plaintiff holds Valencia responsible because the defendant has not made payments on the loan since December 2017.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages in a sum of $44,000 to be proven at trial, costs of suit incurred and for such other and further relief as the court may deem proper. He is represented by Michael C. Titus in Fresno.
