Dexcom mobile glucose monitoring systems alleged to infringe patents

SAN DIEGO – A Michigan company alleges that a San Diego company's medical devices infringe two patents.

Omni MedSci Inc. filed a complaint on July 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Dexcom Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was assigned U.S. Patents '174 and '402 by their named inventor. It alleges the defendant's G4 and G5 mobile continuous glucose monitoring systems infringes these patents.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages from infringement of the '174 and '402 patents, injunctive relief, attorney's fees, costs and disbursements, and all other relief to which plaintiff is entitled. It is represented by William E. Thomson Jr. of Brooks Kushman PC in Los Angeles.
